Hi there! Thanks for stopping by to learn more about me. I don't consider myself all that interesting, except for the stories I could tell you about the guys in my life. Seriously. My youngest son swallowed a penny because he was bored. To disprove someone would actually swallow a penny on purpose, my husband used a metal detector to find said penny in our son's belly (turns out, this actually works, btw).

But…let's rewind. I was born in New Hampshire where my brother and I had the beach and endless amounts of snow to keep us entertained. When I was six, the fam moved to Missouri to be closer to my dad's family. Driving to NH to visit my grandparents became an annual tradition. We'd load up the car, lanky me with a pillow in one hand and my 1985 Walkman in the other, and make our 20+ hour jaunt from halfway across the country. Needless to say, I had a lot of time to daydream and sharpen my imagination skills.

Fast forward to 1996, I graduated from Francis Howell High School, which is demographically notorious for water rumored to make people glow. In 2000, I received a BFA with a Graphic Design emphasis from Lindenwood University. That same year, I married my husband and, a bit later, we had a few babies—all boys—making me certain that God has a sense of humor. I've had a full-time gig as a billboard designer for the past 19 years. Turns out, adulting is not so terrible after all.

The idea for Satellite came around the time of my third son, and was equally unexpected, but left the same residual awesomeness—after the shock wore off, of course. I really enjoy creating make-believe characters; those voices in my head have so much to say.

In my free time, I hang out with my husband and the three boys mentioned above, all of whom provide endless hours of entertainment. I also spend time conversing with my dog, using my favorite sing-song voice because I'm convinced she understands no other. I've gotten involved with aerial arts and fitness, so you might see me flying around on some apparatus in the sky. My BFF visits enough that the hubs is certain she'll start receiving mail at our house soon. Her and I laugh together probably way more than should be allowed. I'm addicted to music and I love to drive. Give me an hour alone in my car with my favorite playlist and I'm the happiest girl on earth.
